At Missouri State: Saltzberry is a captain in his final season with the Bears. The coaches are looking for the senior to provide the necessary leadership that it will take to challenge for a conference championship.

2010-11: As a junior, Saltzberry continued to contribute in the distance free and butterfly events. At the MAC Championships, he narrowly missed making the B-Final in the 500 free, but posted a career best in the preliminary heat (4:41.45). Saltzberry scored points for the Bears in the 200 fly, placing 15th with a time of 1:54.82.

2009-10: Saltzberry swam distance and butterfly events for the Bears as a sophomore. He finished the season setting personal bests in the 1650 free (16:20.62) and the 200 fly (1:53.80) at the 2010 MAC Championships. Saltzberry finished season with the third-best time in the 100 fly (51.42) and 200 fly.

2008-09: As a freshman, Saltzberry swam in butterfly and freestyle events. He competed in his first collegiate event at Drury, swimming the 200 fly in 2:01.18. He finished the year with the fourth-best time in the 200 fly (1:52.16) and fifth best in the 100 fly (51.28).

Background: Tyler Saltzberry joined the Bears after swimming for the South Western Aquatics Club in Ontario, Canada. Saltzberry was ranked in the top 20 in the Canadian Power Rankings and holds 13 club records in various events. He participated in the National Qualifier in the 200, 400, 800 and 1500 free as well as the 100 fly. A swimmer since the age of six, Saltzberry participated in the Provincial Qualifier for eight consecutive years.

Personal: William Tyler Saltberry is the son of Dean and Kelly Saltzberry. He was born on February 2, 1989 in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. He has one brother, Steven. He is majoring in wildlife biology.
