Background: Slabbert swam for Southside High under prestigious swim coach Ian Bullock. She was on the team for all four years in high school. Slabbert has won numerous academic accolades for her endeavors in the classroom.

Personal: Zenetta Slabbert is the daughter of Chris and Renee Slabbert. She was born in Pretoria, South Africa. She has one brother, Nicholas, and one sister, Nicole. Slabbert plans on double majoring in pre-veterinary studies and biology while at Missouri State.
