At Missouri State: Vic Riffel enters his senior year as the leader of the distance group for the Bears. He is expected to be a strong competitor in his final season. 2007-08: Riffel had a outstanding 2007-08 season, establishing himself as a top distance swimmer for the Bears. He broke each personal best time from the previous season and had a top-three finish, placing third at the Sun Belt Conference Championship in the 400 IM. He holds the fifth best time in the event in Missouri State history. Riffel also finished fourth in the 1650 free and 10th in the 500 free at the conference meet. He was a member of the third place 800 free relay at the Sun Belt Championship as well. For his accomplishments at the conference meet, Riffel was named a Sun Belt Medallion Winner. He was also listed on the MSU Academic Honor Roll. 2006-07: Riffel placed seventh at the Sun Belt Championship in the 1650 free and eighth in the 400 individual medley. In the 500 free, he earned a 12th place finish at the conference championship. He was named to the All-SBC honorable mention team and was placed on the MSU Academic Honor Roll. 2005-06: Riffel swam his fastest times in the 1650 free, 400 IM and 500 free at the 2006 conference championship, earning him third-, fourth-and eighth-place finishes, respectively. Riffel was named to the All-MVC team and was listed on the MSU Academic Honor Roll.
