2011-12: Was entered as an exhibition swimmer for the 2012 MAC Championships...Dropped nearly 10 seconds off his previous best in the 500 free (4:36.13); His prelims time would have qualified him for the B-Final in 16th place...Had the 20th-fastest 200 free time (1:41.63) on the second day of the MAC Championships...Finished on the season's top times list in three events including the 200 free (5th), 500 free (4th) and 200 breast (5th).

Background: Joins the Bears after participating in both swimming and tennis for the Minneapolis Washburn Millers...Coached by Ryan Hoag...Capped of his high school career finishing second in the Minnesota-Class A state finals in the 200 free (1:44.04) and 500 free (4:42.43)...Was named all-conference and all-state for the fourth straight year as a senior...Also was a Swimmer of the Year nominee his senior season...Was a senior captain for the Millers.
