At Missouri State: The Bears will benefit from Lindeman's veteran leadership and experience at the conference level in the fly, IM and distance free events.
2010-11: As a junior, Lindeman finished on the 2010-11 MSU top-times list in the 500 free (3rd), 200 fly (2nd) and 400 IM (3rd). At the MVC Championships, the hometown native teamed up with Willoughby and Steffen to take three of the top-four spots in the 400 IM, finishing fourth (4:34.06). Also at the conference meet, Lindeman recorded a fifth-place finish in the 200 fly (2:07.29) and was Missouri State's highest finisher in the event. She received All-MVC honorable mention accolades and was named to the 2010-11 MVC Scholar-Athlete team.
2009-10: Lindeman had her best meet of the year when it counted the most. At the MVC Championships, she set personal bests in the 500 free (5:05.81, fifth-best time on the season) and 200 fly (2:09.53, fourth-best time on the season). She also was named to the 2009-10 MVC Scholar-Athlete team.
2008-09: As a freshman, Lindeman swam in the MVC Championships and turned personal bests in the 1650 free (18:25.73), 200 fly (2:12.47) and 400 IM (4:39.82).
Background: Lindeman joined the Bears after leading the Glendale Falcons to three consecutive All-City Championships. Lindeman was a member of the 200 free relay team that set a school record her freshman year. As a sophomore, she led the 400 free relay squad to an eighth place finish in state competition. Her senior year, she was named team co-captain and recorded a 10th-place finish in the 500 free and 12th in the 200 IM at the state meet.
Personal: Katherine Anne Lindeman is the daughter of Byron and Janice Lindeman. She was born on July 29, 1990 in Springfield, Mo. She has two sisters: Erin and Amy. She is majoring in criminology.
