Senior captain Bryson Cramer addresses swimmers & divers at team dinner before MAC Championships
At Missouri State: Cramer is one of the senior captains for the 2011-12 men's squad and will play a big role in the Bears' quest for the Mid-American Conference championship.
2010-11: In his junior season, Cramer once again made a significant contribution individually and on relays. At the MAC Championships, he placed in all three of his individual events and made the championship finals in the 200 back. Cramer placed seventh in the 200 back and set a new personal best in the event (1:50.51).Cramer competed in the consolation heat in both the 200 free (12th) and 500 free (16th), while also swimming the third leg of the 400 free relay.
2009-10: Cramer did all that was asked of him and more as a sophomore. He competed in sprint and distance freestyle as well as swimming the backstroke events. At the Mid-American Conference meet, Cramer set a new personal best in the 1,650-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 16:26.40.
2008-09: As a freshman, Cramer ended the year on the top-five list in four events, including three freestyle events. He set personal bests in the 200 free (1:41.39) and 500 free (4:34.99) at the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
Background: Bryson Cramer joins Missouri State after swimming all four years at Olathe East. After qualifying for state as a freshman, he set the team record in the 500 free his sophomore season, as well as placing third in state. In his junior year, he broke the team record in the 100 back and 200 medley relay, was state runner-up in the 100 back and 400 free relay and was named first team all-state. Cramer earned All-American honors in the 400 free relay and was selected to the All-State team as a senior.
Personal: Bryson Alvord Cramer is the son of Martin and Beth Cramer. He was born on June 2, 1989. Cramer is a technology management major.
