At Missouri State: Cajun Skinner will lead the breaststroke group again in his junior season for the Bears and will be a strong contender Mid-American Conference Championship...2008-09: Skinner was the top breaststroker for the Bears as a the Henderson Invitational, swam the 100-yard breaststroke in the Sun Belt Championship, swam in the 200-yard breaststroke in 1:58.67 , a season best for the Bears...also swam in the 200-meter individual medley at the SBC Championships and finished with a time of one point was ranked as the 19th best breaststroker in the NCAA...2007-08: Skinner was an excellent addition to the Bears' squad his freshman season. He was awarded MSU Freshman of the Year for his achievements in the pool. His times in the 100 and 200 breaststroke ranked him second in school history in both events. In the conference meet, Skinner was a member of the record setting 400 medley relay, swimming the third leg of the race. He also took medalist honors in the 100 and 200 breaststroke with times of 55.72 and 2:00.48, respectively. He was awarded Sun Belt Medallion honors for his performances in all three races. Skinner was also listed on the men's All-America Honorable Mention Team. Background: Cajun Skinner came to Missouri State after representing South Africa at the 2003 African Junior Championship.
