2012-13: Joins senior Melissa Oishi as a team captain for the women's swimming & diving team.
2011-12: Was entered as an exhibition swimmer for the 2012 MVC Championships...Dropped two seconds from her prelims time in the 500 free C-Final...Shaved off a second from her 100 fly seed time in the MVC prelims to finish with a time of 1:00.26...Recorded a career best in the 200 fly (2:11.90) at the 2012 MVC Championships...Posted a career best in the 500 free at Northwestern's TYR Invitational on November 18.
2010-11: Shifted into a scoring role as a sophomore...At the 2011 MVC Championships, she registered 7 points in the 100 fly (59.15) with a 10th-place finish...She made the B-Final in the 100 free with a time of 54.05 and finished 13th...Also scored points in the 1650 free with 15th place in the event...Her time in the 100 fly ranked fourth on the 2010-11 MSU top times list.
2009-10: In her first season of competition, Winter swam six different events for the Bears...At the 2010 MVC Championships, she turned in times of 1:57.75 in the 200 free, 5:21.00 in the 500 free and 2:11.92 in the 200 fly.
Background: Came to Missouri State from Newton, Kan., the same hometown as 2008-09 senior Andrea Gerbrand...Was a member of the Swim Newton swim club for 13 years...Was a four-year letterwinner with the Railers...Was a team captain her senior year...Won 11 individual and relay titles at the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League Division II-III-IV Championships...As a freshman and senior, she placed seventh in 100 fly at the Kansas State Swimming Championships...Holds Newton individual records in the 100 fly, 100 free, 200 IM, 500 free and 100 breast.
