2014-15 Season (Sophomore): All-MAC Second Team selection ... Had three lifetime bests and made two podium appearances for the Bears at the Mid-American Conference Championships ... Best performances came in seventh-place finishes in the 400 IM (3:58.29) and the 200 backstroke (1:49.96) ... Raced in two events in one day, opening the final day of the championships with the top time in the 1650 freestyle B-finals (15:41.11) ... Won first collegiate event in the 500 freestyle in the Jan. 17 dual at Hammons Student Center against Truman State ... Had three top-five performances in the Bears' opening weekend of duals at Evansville (Oct. 10) and Southern Illinois (Oct. 11) ... Finished fourth and fifth in the 1000 freestyle in the `Duel in the Pool' at Drury and the Texas A&M Double Dual, respectively ... Completed season with top-five times in five events for Missouri State, including the second-fastest time in the 200 back.
2013-14 Season (Freshman):Competed in freestyle and backstroke events for the Bears ... Claimed his first career victory at the Evansville dual meet ... Won the 500 free with a time of 4:45.18 ... Finished second in the 200 back ahead of Iowa and Notre Dame swimmers, falling only to fellow MSU swimmer Paul Le at the Shamrock Invitational ... Placed 10th in the 500 free by swimming a career-best 4:36.58 at the Shamrock Invitational.
Background: A two-time USA junior national qualifier in the 200-meter backstroke ... Joins the Bears by way of the Parkway Swim Club ... Ranked as the seventh-best recruit in the state of Missouri by CollegeSwimming.com ... Received all-state honors all four years at Parkway Central ... Helped lead the Colts to four straight Suburban South Conference championships and top-three finishes at state his final three seasons ... Took over the top three times in school history in the 500 free, 100 back and 200 IM ... A two-time conference champion in the 200 IM and once in the 100 breast ... As a senior captain at the 2012 MSHSAA Swimming Championships, he was a member of the Colts' first-place 200 medley and 400 free relays, while finishing fourth individually in the 200 IM (1:54.93) and tied for fourth in the 100 back (52.84) ... In 2011, he was a member of PCH's record-breaking 200 medley relay and finished top-eight in the 100 back (3rd) and 200 IM (8th) ...
