2011-12 All-MVC First Team
MSU Athletics Director's Honor Roll - Fall 2012, Spring 2012
2011-12: Earned all-MVC first team honors in her first season with the Bears...Collected a gold medal as a member of the 200 free relay at the 2012 MVC Championships; was also a member of the second-place 400 free relay at conference...Qualified for the championship final in the 50 free and placed fifth...Swam in the 100 fly B-Final at the conference meet and finished 13th with a time of 58.81...Was the Bears' top finisher in the 100 free at the MVC meet with a fourth-place finish...During the dual-meet season, she won the 100 free three different times: vs. SIU, at Truman State and vs. Evansville...Also placed first in the 50 free at Lindenwood...Finished on the season's top times list in the 50 free free (4th) and owned Missouri State's fastest 100 free time of the year.
2010-11: Helped guide Indian River State College to its 29th-consecutive NJCAA championship...Became a two-time NJCAA All-American...Placed top-three in the 50, 100 and 200 free at the NJCAA National Championships; Was also a member of the victorious 200 and 400 free relays.
2009-10: Earned NJCAA All-American honors as a freshman...Helped lead IRSC to its 28th straight national junior college title...Finished second in the 100 free at nationals...Was a member of the first-place 200 and 400 free relays.
Personal: Andrea Uzcategui is the daughter of Andres and Monica Uzcategui. She was born on December 3, 1989 in Caracas, Venezuela. She has one sibling, Eimy. She is majoring in media production.
