153 Honored at 2nd Annual Honors Banquet and Awards Ceremony

Background: Becker was a four-year starting shortstop at Shawnee Mission East High outside Kansas City...Earned first-team all-state recognition as a senior after batting .612 with 18 extra-base hits, 22 RBIs, 26 runs scored and nine steals in 25 games...Also named the Sunflower League Player of the Year, first-team all-conference, first-team all-metro by the Kansas City Star, and selected to play in the KCK All-Star Game...Picked up Shawnee Mission East team and defensive MVP winner all four seasons...Named all-confeerence following his junior and sophomore years...Batted .375 in the Ban Johnson League in the summer of 2011, dirving in 17 runs and scoring 19 en route to being selected to play in the All-Star Game at Kauffman Stadium.
