2010-11 Student Ticket Policies and Procedures for Men's Basketball
SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State University Athletics announced today it has finalized its student ticket policies for men's basketball for the upcoming season. The policy, developed collaboratively by the Student Government Association, Maroon Madness and representatives of Intercollegiate Athletics, will ensure that MSU students have ample opportunities to pick up individual game tickets throughout the season. Based on the schedule below, all student tickets will be made available for pickup at any authorized Missouri State ticket outlet, beginning at 10 a.m. on the designated date, typically two days prior to game day. Normal hours for the main Ticket Center at JQH Arena, as well as satellite locations in Juanita K. Hammons Hall, and the Plaster Student Union, are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays. The Maroon Madness organization will have an allotted number of tickets held for its members and available for distribution approximately 90 minutes before game time. Any unused tickets from the Maroon Madness allotment will be returned to the ticket office for distribution to other MSU students 30 minutes prior to game time. Other student organizations, such as fraternities, sororities and clubs, may designate one person from their group as the official ticket representative. Designated representatives will be allowed to pick up tickets for its organization's members. Each group must provide a list of signatures for all individuals receiving a ticket. Any unclaimed bleacher back seats (upper bleachers) not distributed to Missouri State students will be sold to the general public ($10 per seat), beginning on game day. Missouri State students who wait until game day to pick up their tickets will continue to be admitted free. However, if all student bleacher seats have been distributed or sold, overflow sections FF, GG, HH and II will be used to accommodate those students. "The main thing with the new policy is it gives our students an opportunity to get their tickets early," said Director of Athletics Kyle Moats. "All students are still free, even when The Cave is filled to capacity, and all of our student groups can now sit together and show pride as a unit. It also allows the general public to buy upper bleacher seats when our students are not here during the holidays or when there are unclaimed seats, so this is a win-win for everyone."

Note: The Missouri State ticket office is closed on Saturday and Sunday, unless there is an event on that date. On game days, the ticket office will open at 10 a.m. The office is also closed Nov. 25-26 and Dec. 24-26. |
