Dear Varsity Club Member,

What a great time to be a Bear! One of our main initiatives has been to reengage our former student-athletes who wore the Maroon and White. It is important that we honor and recognize those who worked so hard to make our programs a success. With this as the premise, we have revamped the former letter winners club into the Bears Varsity Club.

The Bears Varsity Club is an organization formed to support former student-athletes from all intercollegiate programs they participated in at MSU. It provides the opportunity for letter winners to maintain relationships across different sports, generations and geographical locations and remain involved in MSU Athletics.

As a member of the Bears Varsity Club you will receive certain benefits which will include one free season ticket to all football, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball, and softball games. We also have additional benefits and opportunities planned throughout the year for Bears Varsity Club members. These events are designed to bring you back to campus, reunite you with former teammates, socialize with current student-athletes, support student-athletes in career development and participate in special events.

Another important facet of this program is the opportunity for you to share your experiences and successes with our current student-athletes. It is vitally important to our program that our current student-athletes are able to gain meaningful employment. Your willingness to mentor, offer internships and even assist with employment are just a few ways you can help give back.

It is my hope that you will become more engaged and involved with the University and support this program. Please join the Bears Varsity Club by filling out the enclosed registration materials. Additionally, as this program gains momentum and membership, we will look to this group as an advisory sounding board. We will also seek help from this group in assisting with capital projects and/or important departmental initiatives. Information regarding the Bears Varsity Club can be found by clicking on the Bears Fund link on our web site at www.MissouriStateBears.com.

If you know of a former teammate please forward this information to them.

If you have any questions concerning the Bears Varsity Club, please contact The Bears Fund at 417-836-4143 or athleticsdevelopment@missouristate.edu.

I look forward to seeing you this fall!

Thank you,

Kyle Moats
Director of Athletics
