Missouri State Student-Athletes Say Thank You to Boosters
May 1, 2014
SPRINGFIELD – More than 30 Missouri State student-athletes took time earlier this week to say “thank you” to some of the University’s top athletics boosters.
MSU’s annual Thank-A-Thon event took place April 28-30 and involved representatives from 11 different sport teams who made calls to more than 700 Bears Fund members. The group logged a collective 51 calling hours as part of the department’s ongoing community outreach efforts.
“We feel it’s important to connect with our Bears Fund members and let them know how much we appreciate their support,” said Director of Athletics Kyle Moats. “Establishing a personal connection between our supporters and our student-athletes is very important, and hopefully demonstrates to our donors the degree of our gratitude.”
The Bears Fund is the annual fundraising program for men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletics at Missouri State. Bears Fund contributions benefit all 17 NCAA sports programs at Missouri State and enhance the collegiate experience of our nearly 400 student-athletes.
