Cecile Reynaud is a 1975 SMS graduate who went on to become a highly-successful volleyball coach at Florida State. She was a four-year letterwinner on SMS volleyball teams which were consistently ranked in the top ten. Reynaud also lettered twice in field hockey and was twice named to the Outstanding College Athletes of America.  After graduation, Reynaud taught physical education and coached four sports at Steelville High School. A year later, she was named head volleyball coach at Florida State, where she compiled a 635-325-1 (.660) record from 1976-2001.  She completed her master’s degree at Florida State in 1978 and her doctorate in 1998.  As a player at SMS for Coach Linda Dollar, Reynaud and her 1975 teammates were 64-5 for the season and the SMS four-year record with Reynaud in the lineup was 191-37-15 with four state titles and three regional crowns.
