Trish Kissiar played four of coach Linda Dollar’s winningest team in Kissiar’s career with the volleyball Bears from 1976 to 1979. The 1976 Bears were 47-7-3 and won state and regional AIAW titles and advanced to seventh in the national meet. In 1977, SMS was 57-7-3 and repeated its state, regional and national finishes of a year earlier. The 1978 Bears were 37-18 with a state title and a regional runner-up finish and a 17th place in the AIAW national meet. In 1979, SMS was 36-17 with state and region titles and another 17th finish in the nationals. Kissiar would go on to a long and successful career as a volleyball coach at the junior college level at the West Plains campus of the University.
