INTERN ATHLETIC TRAINING POSITION INFORMATIONOVERVIEWMissouri State University's Athletic Medical and Rehabilitation Department (AMR) proudly offers internship positions for certified athletic trainers designed to enhance your clinical skills and gain valuable experience in athletic rehabilitation, injury prevention, performance enhancement as well as administrative areas. Currently, AMR employs 5 such positions with the following sport responsibilities (subject to change): Assist Football, Men's and Women's Golf Staff members in these positions work under the protocol of the MSU Head Team Physician, under the supervision of the Director of AMR, and although overseen by a full-time staff member, benefit from the level of autonomy necessary to ensure the quality experience you would want to have to progress to the next level of your career. Acceptable candidates may be either post-baccalaureate or post-masters; and even though these are not "graduate assistant" positions, those wishing to pursue a master's degree or continuing education are encouraged to apply. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Acceptable candidates must: Be certified by the NATABOC by the start date FINANCIAL SUMMARY MSU pays a salary of $16,000 per 10 month period. Additional monies are available in the off months of June and July, either working MSU athletic summer camps or AMR athletic training room coverage. MSU will also cover the expenses for NATA dues, state and district dues, State of Missouri licensure fees and yearly dues, optional medical liability insurance, and assistance with CEU opportunities including NATA convention travel.
