Missouri State field hockey could not stop Central Michigan's offense, powered by senior Kelly Jordan's three goals, as the Bears fell to the Chippewas, 4-1, in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.

After 27 scoreless minutes, Jordan scored the first of four unanswered Chippewa goals when she took a loose ball in MSU's end, dribbled through defenders and fired a shot to the left post that got by the Bears' goalkeeper, Mackenzie Crawford (Dublin, Ohio).

Central Michigan scored once more before halftime on a Brooke Sihota goal, assisted by Jordan. Two more Chippewa goals early in the second half put the game out of reach, 4-0.

Missouri State senior Melissa Lantz put the Bears on the board in the 65th minute with her 15th goal of the season. It was the 38th of her career, tying her for 6th on MSU's all-time scoring list. She is two goals shy of her career high for a single season, 17.

Missouri State drops to 4-14 overall, 1-8 in the MAC, while the Chippewas improve 6-12 overall, 3-6 in the MAC.

The Bears close their regular season Sunday, Nov. 1, with a rematch at Central Michigan. Start time is 11 a.m.
