In Sunday's game two of the Missouri State field hockey team's weekend series with Central Michigan, the Bears fell 2-0 at Plaster Field. The loss drops the Bears to 6-12 on the season, 1-6 in Mid-American Conference play. Central Michigan improves to 6-10, 5-4 in the MAC.

The Bears could not keep the momentum near the Chippewas' net to put one in all game. Junior Melissa Lantz led the Bears with four shots, two on goal.

Central Michigan scored two within 30 seconds in the first half. The first goal came off a corner play after Samantha Sandham's shot bounced off Bears' goalkeeper Jessica Schuster and bounced to Tara Schiltz for the goal. Seconds later, Sandham crossed the ball behind Schuster to Alison Kist for the easy shot near the left post.

Schuster collected 12 saves against Central Michigan, for 133 saves for the season, a .679 save percentage.

The Bears were held to only 12 shots and six corners against the Chippewas.

Missouri State wraps up conference play next weekend at Plaster Field. On Friday, Oct. 31, the Bears take on Ohio University at 3 p.m. Missouri State then faces Kent State Saturday at 1 p.m.
