At Missouri State

 Great all-around player who earned MVC All-Freshman honors last season and put together the fourth-best freshman scoring season in Bears history ... He will be looked upon for leadership on and off the court this winter as he looks to become the team's regular power forward after starting 19 times last year.

2008-09

 Named to MVC All-Freshman Team, Weems posted the fourth-highest single-season scoring effort by a Missouri State freshman (316) ... Finshed as the No. 3 freshman scorer (10.2) and No. 2 freshman rebounder (4.9) in the Valley in 2008-09 ... Finished tied for 8th in the league overall in blocked shots (0.8), 14th in defensive boards (3.7), 18th in total rebounding (4.9) and 23rd in scoring (10.2) ... Started the final 11 games of the season, while averaging 12.2 points and 5.8 rebounds during that span ... Scored in double figures 18 times, including seven straight games (2/1/09-2/21/09) ... Led team in scoring 10 times, which tied for team lead ... Posted a career-high 20 points in season finale against Wichita State in MVC Tournament in St. Louis, just the third 20-point scoring output by a Bear for the season ... Earned MSU Coors Player of the Week five times, including the final week for his performance at MVC Tournament ... Finished the season by making 90-percent of his free throws (18-of-20) over the last 10 games ... Was also 4-for-4 at the foul line with 4 assists in UT Martin game ... Had 15 points and 5 rebounds at Bradley (2/17/09) ... Tallied 17 points and 6 rebounds on 8-for-16 from the field vs. Indiana State (2/14/09) ... Shared team-high scoring honors with 15 points on 3-of-5 from three-point range at Wichita State (2/10/09) ... Posted third straight double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds vs. Southern Illinois (2/7/09) in a nationally-televised game on ESPN2 ... Recorded career-high 5 assists and posted 10 points and 10 rebounds in win over Evansville (2/4/09) ... Had team-high 15 points and career high 12 rebounds in recording his first career double-double at Creighton (2/1/09) ... Made 5-of-8 shots and a pair of threes against UNI (1/25/09) with 12 points and 6 boards ... Notched 11 rebounds in home win over Drake (1/21/09) with 11 points ... Had first double-figure scoring in 5 games in loss at Illinois State (1/18/09) with 12 points and 8 rebounds in reserve role ... Posted team-highs with 13 points and 9 rebounds at Drake (12/31/08) in starting role ... Started his fourth game of the year in MVC opener against Illinois State (12/28/08), grabbing 7 rebounds and scoring 12 ... Scored 12 points off the bench in Basketball Travelers Tip-Off Tourney finale against Middle Tennessee (12/22/08) ... Hit for 18 points at Tulsa (12/10/08) on 7-of-10 from the field and 4-of-5 from three-point range ... Scored 12 off the bench in win over UALR (12/3/08) and was 5-for-5 at the line with four steals ... Had 16-point outing vs. Arkansas (11/22/08) in first-ever game at JQH Arena, including career-high five treys ... Posted 10 points in win at Central Michigan (11/17/08) in his first career start, to earn MSU Coors Player of the Week honors ... Recorded six dunks during the campaign.

2007-08

 Kyle was redshirted during his first season in the Missouri State program, earning valuable experience as part of a team that was 14-2 at home and 17-16 overall.

High School

 Was part of a highly-successful program for coach Ken Darting at Highland Park High in Topeka, Kan ... The Scots claimed a Kansas Class 5A state title in 2006-07 with a spectacular 25-0 season that included a 13-0 conference championship record in the Centennial League ... He earned preseason all-state honors in his senior season, averaging 15.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals ... Hit a career-high 26-point scoring night during his senior campaign ... His junior year, Weems was third-team all-state, and team breezed to a 13-0 Centennial title on the way to a 21-4 season and Class 5A state runner-up finish ... The Scots were 18-6 when Weems was a sophomore, finishing as conference runners-up and state tournament qualifier ... Team was 19-6 his freshman season, claiming a league title on the way to a Kansas state championship.

 Kyle Jordan Weems was born 8/23/89 in Topeka, Kan. ... He is the son of Kevin and Kim Weems of Topeka, Kan. ... Kyle's father, Kevin, played basketball at Drury University in Springfield, and his grandfather, Charles Weems, was the referee at the last Missouri State game played in McDonald Arena in 1976 ... Majoring in Hotel and Restaurant Administration at Missouri State ... Chose Missouri State over Indiana State, Illinois State and UC Santa Clara ... Recruited by assistant coach Steve Woodberry ... Is a huge fan of the Boston Celtics ... Says his most-memorable basketball moment was winning the Kansas Class 5A state title his senior year and leading the Highland Park Scots to a perfect 25-0 season ... Enjoys watching ESPN SportsCenter, T.O Show, and 106th & Park ... Best memory was beating Arkansas (11/22/08) in the inaugural game at JQH Arena.
