The Missouri State women's soccer team (9-5-3, 4-1-1) will
face the Creighton Bluejays (12-5-2, 3-2-1) in the semifinal round of the MVC
Tournament on Friday, November 6.
Kickoff at Morrison Stadium in Omaha, Neb., is set for 6:00 p.m.
In the only matchup between the teams during the regular
season, the Bluejays defeated Missouri State, 3-0, on October 3. Rachel Weimer led the Bears with three shots
in that match. The Bears have gone
unbeaten in the five matches since.
Missouri State goalkeeper Jessica Teahan recorded seven
shutouts during the regular season. The
Bears recorded nine shutouts total, matching last season's total. Teahan's goals against average of 0.79 is the
second-best season total in team history.
Samantha Aguilar led the team on offense in points (11) and
goals (5) for the second consecutive season.
Megan Jaskowiak led the Bears in assists with four.
The semifinal match will be streamed through the website www.mvc-sports.com. With a win, the Bears will reach the MVC
Championship match on Sunday, November 8 at 1:00 p.m.
