SPRINGFIELD -- As part of the NCAA's "Miles for Myles" initiative, Missouri State University will be hosting a three-mile, fund-raising walk and run around its campus on Saturday, November 7, beginning at 9 a.m.
The event is designed to perpetuate the legacy of late NCAA president Myles Brand's leadership and to raise awareness and funds to benefit pancreatic cancer research. All proceeds will be distributed among the NABC Coaches vs. Cancer® partnership with the American Cancer Society; the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund®; and The Myles Brand Endowed Chair for Cancer Research at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
A $5 donation is required for registration. Each participant will receive a free general admission ticket to the Missouri State football game that afternoon against Indiana State. Kickoff for the game is 1 p.m. Miles for Myles participants may purchase additional general admission tickets for $5.

As this event is a fund-raising initiative, no race prizes will be awarded.
