Installation of the new, state-of-the-art scoreboard at Plaster Sports Complex began taking shape this week with the arrival and placement of the primary equipment pieces.
The multi-million dollar system will feature a high-quality video system, enhanced graphics package, and live scoring and timing capabilities. The Football ProStar LED Video Display will have a 4.4 trillion color-capable display; 23mm pixel spacing and 153,600 total red/green/blue LED's. When completed, the top of the scoreboard will be more than three stories from the surface and extend 40 feet in width.
Testing and implementation of the new scoreboard and graphics system will begin in early August. The Missouri State home football opener will take place on Thursday, September 4 at 7 p.m. against Washburn.
Plaster Sports Complex is home of the Missouri State football, soccer, track and field, and field hockey teams.
